There are 4 teams with themes and activities presented as follows:

Team1. Valorization of aromatic and medicinal plants

- Knowledge of Algerian plants with medicinal and aromatic character through ethnobotanical and floristic studies,

- Determination of the productive potentialities in bioactive molecules of the identified species, -Determination of the physiological, ecological, biological, chemical and agronomic parameters influencing the production of biomolecules of medicinal and / or aromatic interest,

- Involvement of microorganisms in order to stimulate the production of bioactive molecules, - Improvement test of the production of bioactive molecules through the cultivation of targeted species,

- Research of optimization of the yields by methods of culture and analyzes. In addition, the team is interested in the situation of the marketing of products from these plants at the national.

Team 2. Pharmaceutical Application of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants

- Studies of antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-infectious, healing and hypoglycaemic

Activities identified and selected plant extracts.

- Pharmaco-toxicological activities are also evaluated and followed by formulation and pharmacological characterization of bioactive molecules.

* Research work of this team is done in collaboration with the Saidal and the hospitals of the regions.

Team 3. Bio Aromatic and Medicinal Plant Protection and Application

- Development of biological and conservation methods

- Changes in functional traits due to environmental factors

- Toxic effects, PAM inhibitors and associated phytocenosis on zoocenosis and microcenosis.

Team 4. Aromatic and Medicinal Plants in Animal Feed household

- Identification of medicinal and aromatic species with a forage character and the location and quantification of food potentialities.

- Determination of the chemical compounds of the identified species - Determination of the food value of species mainly targeted as quality forage resources.

* Masters backed by the laboratory

- Biotechnology of medicinal and aromatic plants,

- Biotechnology and plant valuation,

- Animal nutrition,

- Biotechnology of food, reproduction and animal performance

* Doctoral training affiliated to the laboratory

2012-2013: Biotechnology of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants and Natural Products

2017-2018: Biotechnology and Plant Enhancement.
